In an exclusive interview for Native Instruments, Paul ‘Nineteen85’ Jefferies talks about his start in music from the early days of playing in punk bands all the way through to how he has made hits such as ‘One Dance’ and ‘Hotline Bling’ for Drake.

Ninteen85 has been supplying some of the biggest artists in the world hits for the past few years and took the time to share his experiences at the first Native Sessions in Toronto. While talking with interviewer and fellow Canadian musician Cadence Weapon, Nineteen85 shares how he fell into producing, which song Boi-1da said would be his first hit, and why he prefers to use MASCHINE among other great bits of advice for producers and music makers of all levels.
