LA-based producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist, Lophiile has gained writing and production credits with H.E.R., Alina Baraz, GoldLink, Mick Jenkins, and more Van Jess, and he’s also released a catalog of critically-acclaimed remixes and singles since launching his solo career in 2012. In this video, the Seattle native walks us through some of his go-to techniques for spicing up individual sounds in his tracks. He’ll also recommend some useful tools for tape emulation, chorus, resampling, pitch-shifting, reverse delay, and more – everything you need to give your tracks character, movement, and depth.
