Join the STACKS and BURNT HUES
treasure hunt

We've hidden 100 tapes in 6 record shops around the world – find one and win!

We’re kicking off 2022 with a special Stacks and Burnt Hues bundle –a Play Series and Expansion match made in hip hop heaven. Inspired by the sound of old-school, underground hip hop pioneered by prolific crate diggers such as Madlib and J Dilla, they channel the sound of sampled beats and dusty chords that defined the sound in the early 2000s.

To celebrate, we’ve printed 100 special tapes loaded with audio demos and one-shot samples, and hidden them in six record shops across the world for a two-week treasure hunt. Whoever finds a tape and tags us in a picture on Instagram will get a copy of Stacks and Burnt Hues free! Half of the art of beat-making is getting into the record stacks and digging deep, so here’s what you have to do:

  1. See which store is closest to you and hop on the bus.
  2. Have a dig around, flick through the records, and find a tape!
  3. Take a pic, upload it, and tag us on Instagram with the hashtags #stacks and #burnthues.
  4. We’ll send you your serials
  5. Take the tape home and keep it forever, and pick up some new music from your local store on your way out.
