A fresh creative layer
Struggling with writer’s block? Kontakt 8 introduces a new range of tools to get you out of that rut fast and to keep the ideas flowing. Tools add a whole new layer of creative features that work with any Kontakt instrument, old and new. First up there’s Chords and Phrases, which are full of MIDI content and randomization features – and there’s plenty more to come.
Explore a loop playground
Also new in Kontakt 8 is Leap – a fast and playful way to play and manipulate loops. Leap will help you spark fresh ideas, get expressive with performance effects, and breathe new life into your sample collection. And there’s a whole new Leap Expansions series, starting with 12 curated packs for specific genres and styles.
A new kind of Kontakt instrument
Conflux is the first in a new line of Kontakt instruments for experimental sound design. You’ll be able to layer organic and synthetic samples and add dynamic movement to static sounds in real time, with original PPG wavetables and techniques like FM, phase modulation, and ring modulation.
Faster than ever
Kontakt 8 has been seriously sped up with a load of performance updates, so you’ll be able to work faster than ever with no interruption to your workflow.
For instrument builders
Kontakt 8 introduces the Komplete Instrument Building Toolkit, featuring the new Komplete Script language and Komplete UI framework for high-DPI reactive interfaces. It’s a big step forward that expands Kontakt’s creative potential far beyond traditional sampling.
